The Collections feature in AMBOSS lets you save and organize your favorite study materials in one convenient place. Whether you're reviewing an article, watching a video, or checking a clinical calculator, you can easily bookmark items and group them into custom collections for quick reference later.
What can you save to Collections?
You can save a variety of content:
- Entire articles or individual article sections
- Media items such as images, flowcharts, illustrations, videos, and calculators
- Pharma pages
How to Save an Item
Any time you come across something you want to keep, simply click the Collections icon next to it. A popover will appear, and the item will automatically be saved to your default collection, Favorites. From there, you can:
- Add the item to additional existing collections
- Create a new custom collection on the spot
You’ll see a filled icon if the item has already been saved, so you’ll always know what you’ve bookmarked.
Where to Find Your Collections
You can access your saved items anytime by clicking the Collections icon in the top navigation bar. This will take you to the Collections Overview, where you’ll see:
- Your Favorites collection (this one is always available and cannot be deleted)
- Any additional custom collections you've created
📝 Note: The Favorites collection syncs automatically with the mobile app, so your saved items stay consistent across web and mobile. Other collections are currently only available on the web, with mobile support coming soon.

Can I share my collections with others?
Right now, collections are private and only visible to you.
Is there a limit to how many collections I can create?
Nope! You can create as many collections as you like and save as many items as you need.
Can I edit or delete my collections?
Yes, you can rename or delete any collection except for Favorites. You can also add or remove individual items within your collections at any time.
Can I organize the order of items inside a collection?
Not at the moment—but we’ve heard this request and are looking into it!
Is the Collections feature available on mobile?
Favorites will sync to your mobile app, but custom collections are currently only on the web. We're working on expanding mobile support in the future.
I'm having trouble saving or accessing items. What should I do?
