Assigning Articles

Educators and Admins can assign articles for Learners to review in addition to questions. Including articles in an assignment with or without questions is determined in the Assignment Creation page under "Define assignment type."

Creating Assignments with Articles and Questions

To create an assignment that includes both questions and articles, select the "Questions with or without articles" option under "Define assignment type" on the Create Assignment page.  Screenshot 2025-04-10 at 9.39.41 AM.png

After selecting all other assignment preferences, click "Continue" and you will be brought to the Edit Assignment page, where you can continue editing the assignment and selecting other preferences (for more information about this, see the Editing New Assignments article).

Clicking "Add articles" under the Articles section allows you to add the articles you would like to assign.

The article list is organized the same way the AMBOSS Library is set up. If an article falls under multiple articles (this is common) the article will be selected under the relevant folders there as well. It’s possible to select and deselect an entire folder too, which would include all of its articles. The number of selected articles appears at the top.
Please note that you can also search for articles you'd like to add via the Search bar on the top right corner of this screen.

After selecting the articles you'd like to include and clicking “Done”, the articles appear in the same order as selected. The articles can be deleted via the trash symbol. Additionally, the assignment order can be changed by selecting "Change order" and using the arrows to move an article up or down, then "Save" to save changes or "Cancel" to cancel any changes. You can also go back to the Select articles window by selecting "Refine" in order to further edit your selection.

You will then be routed to the "Edit Assignment" page, where you can add articles to the assignment via the same instructions as above.
