Redeem an access code

If you have received an AMBOSS access code from your institution or as part of an initiative, you can redeem the code in your AMBOSS account to activate your access. Depending on whether you have set the AMBOSS platform to Clinician Mode or Student Mode, you will find this feature under a different section of the menu. You can update your platform mode via the dropdown in the top left of the AMBOSS platform.
Student or Clinician

Student Mode

Here's how you can activate your code:
  1. Click Account & Settings > Redeem a code on the left-side menu
  2. Enter your code in the activation field and click the Redeem Code button. No need to select your institution from the dropdown. The code will do all the work!

Clinician Mode

Here's how you can activate your code:
  1. Click Account & Settings > Redeem a code on the left-side menu
  2. Enter your code in the activation field and click the Redeem Code button. No need to select an institution from the dropdown. The code will do all the work!

That's it! You've now redeemed your access code. When you activate a new code it adds access to the end of your current access. For example, if you still have 3 trial days left, the code you redeem will start after these 3 days. That means there's no need to worry about losing time on our platform when you're activating a new access code!

That said, if you have an active Yearly or Monthly membership, you will not be able to redeem your access code. If this is the case or if you're having any other issues, please feel free to contact the AMBOSS Support or leave us a message here and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
