Staying motivated and productive during medical school (especially during clerkships)

It's no doubt that med school is stressful, but the last 2 years of med school are uniquely stressful for the mere fact that you are learning how to manage giving quality patient care with preparing yourself to be a competitive candidate for residency. Here is the biggest ttip that got me through the beast that is 3rd year

SELF CARE  - as difficult as it may be you have to put yourself first because being well within yourself will automatically translate into you having more energy, more enthusiasm and more passion for what you. if that means scheduling a time to see friends/family, scheduling a time to go out for dinner, planning a movie night, planning a spa trip- it has to be done.

Your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing all intertwine with you being the BEST YOU, so don't sleep on any of these aspects of your life

Much love,

Ola

Definitely agree with you about self-care. We have to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others. I try to do that by pampering myself when I can, and spending time with family.
