How'd you know you wanted to be a doctor? For me it was when I helped my little sister with her scratches when she was a kid. I knew I wanted to do that for everyone. What about you?

For me, it was being fascinated by the brain and wanting to learn more about the biological basis of mental health. The mind is the last barrier for modern medicine to explore, and I'm excited to be exploring a future in psychiatry :)
A couple events had impacted me to pursue medicine, but I would say visiting rural Vietnam for my grandmother's funeral was the thing that sealed the deal for me. Medicine is a luxury over there and it should not be that way.
When I'm practicing, I'd like to come back to the village my mom grew up in and do free primary care checkups for them.
