Payment methods in India

If you’re based in India, a new payment option is currently available in our shop. This new payment method allows you to use your local payment methods (such as UPI and debit cards) and pay in Indian Rupees, thus avoiding any currency conversion costs.

How can I choose this payment method?

After selecting your preferred membership in our shop, click “Proceed to Checkout”. On the checkout page, you will see the following options: Credit Card / Debit Card, PayPal, and Pay in INR.

Select Pay in INR and click the green button. You can then use UPI, local Indian cards, netbanking, or wallets to pay for your AMBOSS plan in Indian Rupees.

Why do you charge a transaction fee?

To help provide this service to you, we charge a small transaction fee of 1 USD. This fee is converted to 75 INR upon payment, and you will be able to see the total amount you’ll be charged before confirming. By using this method you would avoid any currency conversion costs.

How will I complete the payment?

You will be forwarded to our local payment provider where you’ll be able to confirm the amount converted in INR.

Enter the email address connected to your AMBOSS account and your phone number, and click Pay.

You can complete your payment with UPI, Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and Wallet.
Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation via email and your chosen AMBOSS access plan will become active.

How will I get my access to AMBOSS?

Once you complete the payment, your access to AMBOSS will be automatically updated and will start right away! If you have any trouble accessing the platform after paying, feel free to contact us through our contact form.

How is the conversion calculated?

We use an exchange rate of 1USD = 75 INR, which is provided by publicly accessible sources rounding to the next full rupee. Please note that this exchange rate is fixed and is not influenced by daily currency fluctuations.
