The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a major challenge for medical students, universities, and healthcare providers.
At AMBOSS, we see it as our duty to provide you with the greatest possible support during this time. We’ve developed a number of programs to help you continue your learning and as well as help you confidently process and apply your medical knowledge at the point of care.
We know that many medical students around the world have been impacted by COVID-19, whether that has meant that they have had to enter hospitals and graduate early, had their exams postponed or canceled, or suffered financial burdens. Here at AMBOSS we have started a number of initiatives to help medical students during this time.
AMBOSS Access Scholarships
Our team has recently established a Global Education Fund which makes AMBOSS Access Scholarships available to students and physicians around the world who have been significantly impacted by COVID-19.
This limited fund seeks to promote the well-being of those who have been most impacted by the pandemic, including a lack of basic necessities and financial means to keep up. Our access scholarships are available as partial or full, according to your needs. If you, or anyone you know, meets this criteria you are welcome to find more information and apply for a scholarship here.
Our Scholarships team will review your application within 2 weeks, so please bear with us during this process. Please keep an eye on your spam inbox as well, in case our scholarship emails are being sorted there. If you have any questions about our Scholarships, you can check our FAQs, or contact us at email@example.com .
AMBOSS online courses
AMBOSS has launched a number of comprehensive online courses that cover clinical and clerkship-focused topics. Each online course consists of a series of Qbank session blocks, accompanied by the relevant Library Articles. To access these courses you need to have AMBOSS access, but there is no additional cost.
In light of COVID-19, several of our partnering institutions have integrated these courses into their curriculums and providing verified certificates upon their completion.
You can find all of our available courses here, including information on how you can request an integration of these courses to your curriculum.
COVID-19 materials for students
Many students are currently undertaking clinical tasks, and our team wants to support during these challenging times. Our physician editors have assembled AMBOSS COVID-19-related material for students, which you can find here.
I need other help related to COVID-19
If you have been impacted by COVID-19 and would like to speak with one of our team, feel free to contact us through the Support link at the bottom of this page. One of our team will be happy to see what we can do for you.
For institutions and educators
Our Global Education Fund has been created to support educators, by removing our access fee for those instructing students remotely using AMBOSS. This opportunity is exclusively available for instructors and administrators looking for resources to support teaching students. If you qualify as an educator, please find more information about this initiative, as well as how to set up your AMBOSS access on this page.
Our team has developed a series of online courses for students at no additional cost, which can be certified and linked to University's curriculum. These courses, newly available from AMBOSS, offer guided study for core subjects/classes of the basic science and clinical clerkship curriculum. Students can follow a day-by-day, stepwise approach with daily readings and summative topical questions, presented in the style of vignettes appropriate for the content and the students’ exposure to the medical curriculum. More information on this initiative, as well as how to connect these courses to your current curriculum and offer certification can be found here.
