The AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment was a simulation of the USMLE® Step 2 exam. It consists of four question blocks of 40 questions each and is presented in the NBME®’s official timed format.

When does the AMBOSS Step 2 Self-Assessment Week start and end? In which time zone?
The AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment Week began on May 2 at 11:59 pm PDT. If you signed up before then, you should've received an email on May 2 that prompted you to begin the self-assessment.
It’s the only time of the year when the assessment and its unique questions are available, with over 75% of the Step 2 cohort joining and receiving a score report on Wednesday, May 10.
Deadline extended: It will not be possible to start the self-assessment after the end of Monday, May 8 at 11:59 pm PDT.

Can I take the AMBOSS Step 2 Self-Assessment for free, or do I have to pay a fee?
Our self-assessment is free to take and only available from May 2 - May 8, 11:59 pm 2023. When you sign up, you’ll have unlimited free access to AMBOSS throughout this time and for an additional few days after so that you can review your score report which will be released on May 10.
Our self-assessment is not available to start before or after the stated time frame
