AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment Week: Access & Dates

  • What is the AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment?

The AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment is a simulation of the USMLE® Step 2 exam. It consists of four question blocks of 40 questions each and is presented in the NBME®’s official timed format.
You can take the Self-Assessment from April 22nd at 12:01 AM PST to April 28th at 11:59 PM PST. You’ll have unlimited free access to AMBOSS until May 1st at 4:00 PM PDT to give you time to take the exam and review your score report.

  • Where can I sign up for it?

You can sign up for AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment week at this link. Then, you will receive an email from us once the Self-Assessment is live on Monday, April 22nd. 

  • When does the AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment Week start and end? In which time zone? 

The AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment week will begin on Monday, April 22 at 12:01 AM PST. You will receive an email on April 22nd that will prompt you to begin the exam. We’ll also make it available to start in your AMBOSS account to make sure you don’t miss out!
It’s the only time of the year when the assessment and its unique questions are available, with over 75% of the Step 2 cohort joining. It will not be possible to take the Self-Assessment after Sunday, April 28th at 11:59 pm PST.

  • Can I take the AMBOSS Step 2 CK Self-Assessment for free, or do I have to pay a fee? 

Our Self-Assessment is free to take and only available from April 22 – April 28th. When you sign up, you’ll have unlimited free access to AMBOSS until May 1st at 4:00 PM PST so that you have time to complete the assessment and review your score report, which will be available to view immediately following completion of the fourth block. 
Our Self-Assessment is not available to purchase, however, you’re welcome to sign up for it at this link and take it during the stated week. 

  • Do I need an AMBOSS account to access the Self-Assessment?

Yes, you’ll need an AMBOSS account to access the Self-Assessment. If you don’t have an AMBOSS account yet, you can create yours for free here. It only takes a few minutes to verify your email address and complete your profile.
